On a liquid diet and 60-90 minutes of exercise a day next week?

I just got my Banana & Orange Creme Click Protein powder yesterday in the mail......I lost a few pounds but want to kick it in gear, and get the Carbs out of my system......

Plus I have a VERY overdue 2 year appointment on Friday with my surgeon......

I know there are others struggling, How about we help each other out next week, Who's in????

I am in!  I will not be doing a liquid.  But 60 minutes of exercise a day is my goal.  Also, 60 plus ounces of water each day!  Yesterday was 2 years since my surgery and I need to kick into high gear!

Anita,

Whoohoo.....Exercise and water will be great......My 2 year was in January, and I'm so mad at myself for this weight gain....I plan to ask the clinic for help, but want to get a jump start on it since I got my protein powder.....

I have your email, we can try to email each day if you want.....My email address is on my FB page I believe......

A liquid diet sounds painful. I mean, think of all those that have to do one for pre-op purposes and how it sucks for them during the process.

I am curious to know why you feel a LD is the solution. Do you feel if you only do liquids then it will eliminate the temptation to put something carby in your mouth? Do you not do well with edible protein sources, other than shakes?

I'm also wondering if your bariatric team advises this?

How much weight gain are you talking? 5, 10, 20 - what?
Do you feel healthy at the weight you are now?

Sorry, Kel, I'm just the curious type and you've got me baffled why anyone would WANT to do a LD (other than for spiritual reasons). And I wonder if there isn't something deeper here.

Amy,

You make me smile.....I know your the curious type and that's okay.....

Liquid diets are no fun.....But for me I've tried the 5day pouch test, I did okay, but once I started letting food back in, I went back to carbs....So I'm hoping that doing just the protein shakes will let my sysytem know that I mean business.......And I really LOVE this Chike....It's awesome stuff.....

I've been trying to eat just protein, but something else usually ends up in my mouth.....So at this point I just feel this is what I need to try for me.....

I'm not sure....But I plan on telling them everything when I go in next Friday.....I have kept logged food days for awhile now......Actually I've talked to them in the past about the 5day pouch test, and they seemed fine with that.....They just keep saying protein first.....So That's what I intend to do next week, just protein shakes and bullets.....

How much weight gain are you talking? 5, 10, 20 - what?

Depending on the day, I'm up 15+ pounds, but the inches have come back too....So that's why I need to start and stay on an exercise program....I would LOVE to join a gym, but the money just isn't there for it right now.....I would love to be 140 pounds again, I felt the best at that weight, I felt way more energetic too.....But I was told by a few people that I was too thin, uhhh...

something deeper here.
There has been a lot going on in my life the past year.......And for the past 5 months I've been taking my life back, piece by piece....It's a very long story.....With the help of God and friends, I'm trying everyday to get my life in order.....One thing at a time, one day at a time.....For a very long time I quit doing everything, quit caring what I ate, quit taking my vits.....etc......I just didn't care about myself.....

So, here I am......Trying to get back on track, one way or another.....I tried to eat the way I did after surgery, didn't work very well....I do get hungry unfortunatley.....I tried the 5 day pouch test, it sorta worked.....So now I'm going to try a LD and see if that will help......My plan for Friday is to talk in depth with the nurse and my doctor, see what they say.......I recently saw Unity offers a 8 week program to get back on track for $80, it starts in June.....I plan on signing up for that......

Hope this answers your questions.......Kelly
