I am trying not to be impatient but...
I am very happy with the fact that I feel great and have not had complications so far. I am not nauseous anymore, am able to keep things down and returned to my very active job 5 days post op. All and all I don't really have any complaints except for the concern that I went through the grueling process and painful surgery for a 14 pound weight loss! Dang!
Thanks for listening to me vent and any advice that may come my way : )

I started out at 229 pounds.....I lost most of my weight (90 pounds) in the 1st 8 months.....
We all lose weight differently.....Your body is in shock, wondering what's going on....Give it time, it will come off......One day you'll get on the scale and be down 8 pounds.....It's just weird how our bodies work.....
Don't get impatient......Just hang in there....Follow your Doctors plan and it will come off.....

Just know that we all lose weight at different rates. But, I wanted to let you know that in my 1st month I only lost around 14 lbs. total. It picked up a bit in the next couple months, but then slowed down the next couple of months after that. Your weight loss with fluctuate all the time throughout your journey, or it may all come off in the 1st 6 months. It's hard to predict. Just enjoy your journey...it definitely won't be like anyone elses. Just because you're starting with a lower BMI doesn't mean that your weight will come off slower or faster. The best thing I can suggest is try not to let the scale rule how you feel (and that can be hard to do). Take your measurements; when you're not losing pounds you're probably losing inches (that always holds true for me). Keep active, drink lots of fluids, & keep getting in your protein.
Don't be discouraged.....you will be melting away soon enough. Your body is just adjusting to the surgery which is very tramatic to our system.
Keep up with the water....walking or other exercise...and be sure you are getting in all your protein.
You are doing just fine....give it time!

HECK NO! I was damn near 400 pounds at one point!
We all compare our weight loss to others, because most of us are human, and that's what humans do. But you really shouldn't - you are the only one in your body, so you should only be concerned with YOUR LOSS.
It seems to me that the less a person has to lose, the slower it does come off. And that's a GOOD thing! It'll give your skin time to snug up better, for one thing.
Just keep doing what you are supposed to do, and ENJOY THE RIDE!!!
