Pre Op Diet...
Hello everyone I am new to this whole thing, so here it goes. I just found out today my surgery is scheduled for May 5th. That leaves me 6 days to get in the licquid diet. Is there anyone that has any suggestions on what to buy from the grocery store for the licquid diet? What anyone used for the instant breakfast stuff? Protein? Thinks like that!!!
Thanks
Jacque

Jacque,
I like the UNJURY unflavored protein powder. I mix it with yogurt, milk or soy milk, and frozen fruit.....
Protein bullets from GNC
SF jello
Chicken noodle soup, minus the noodles. I hated the broth soup, didn't taste the same....
SF popscicles, were a life saver
Crystal light
Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes, Kelly

If I only had six days, I would go to Walmart, Sam's or a healthstore such as GNC and get a 10 pound package of a flavor or two smaller packages of two flavors. It is important to help your surgeoon do a good job, and by losing the weight pre-op, it takes the fat off of the liver first.
You will use the protein after the surgery also to help you get the priteins in, at that point, I went to Suppliment warehouse and another site and ordered better flavors such as choc olate peanut-butter and orange creamsicle and peach cobbler. That takes the feeling of sacrifice away as they make for some tasty treats.
