What a difference 6 months makes
Well, yesterday was my 6-month surgiversary. I stepped on the scale and I am down exactly 100 lbs from what I weighed in July/August of last year. I was 312 lbs and I am now 212.
I know I still have a long journey, and I know it's in the right direction. I am enjoying the results of my RNY and I enjoy the reactions I get from friends and family. I do however have a hard time buying and looking at smaller sizes. I started out at a tight size 28 and I am currently a 16/18 and when I look at pants I think to myself "there is no way in hell I am going to fit into those" so after I try them on and they fit it absolutely blows my mind and I have a hard time wiping the grin off of my face.
I will take pictures tonight and get some new udated ones on my profile.
Here are my stats so far:
Highest weight: 312
Weight when I joined OH: 307
Weight on day of surgery: 303.4
Current Weight: 212

Congrats on six very successful months. It's an amazing journey, isn't it?
The size thing is really wacky. It seems to take awhile to get out of the plus sizes (1x, 2x, etc) but after that you can change sizes every 5 or 10 pounds. Once I got to that point, I skipped some sizes completely and still end up trying on clothes that are too big. The Savers store has turned into my new addiction!
Best of luck in your continuing WLS journey!
