I am about 1 mo. + 1 week out.  My teeth feel like they are wearing sweaters...and this dry mouth is really terrible...I feel like my lips are sticking to my teeth when I talk!

Does it go away?

Have you called the clinic and talked to the nurse?  I had a sweater on my tongue and it turned out to be thrush from the antibiotics.  Maybe there is a simple remedy for getting rid of this problem.

Don't hesitate to call them, that's what they're there for!

If it was thrush, wouldn't I have white patches on my tongue?  I don't know much about it, but I have heard that those white patches are a tell tale sign.  I don't have any of those.  The "sweater" thing is just on the backsides of my teeth...luckily my tongue doesn't feel like that.  My mouth just gets so dry!

It probably isn't thrush.  However, they were able to diagnose a cure for me over the phone just by talking to Donna.

If you call to the clinic before 4pm, they might have some answers or suggestions for you.

I called them a while ago, thanks for the advice  There are no nurses there right now so they are going to call me on Monday (since it's not an emergency).  I'll just keep drinking loads of water!

Good luck with it.  I know how annoying it can be to have a fuzzy mouth.

Have a great weekend

I'm 3 months out and mine hasn't gone away yet, but it's not as bad.  It actually reminds me to keep drinking my water.  We have really "hard" water here and I think that makes it worse.

Both my boys as infants had thrush and it was very obvious looking in their mouths, it doesn't mean it's not possible, but I think you'd see it.

Let us know what they say.

It's called ketosis. Totally normal - everyone gets it. It will get better, I promise!!

Please spay and neuter your pets!

I had the same thing; I thought my teeth were really dirty or something on the back sides of my teeth both on the top & bottom.  I'd brush & brush (thinking it was plaque), but came to found out drinking more made it better.  And the farther out I got the better it got.  I don't experience it anymore & I'm almost 5 months out (and haven't experienced for awhile now).

So, just know that it will go away & that you're not alone.

Melissa - At least I know I am not the only one with the very specific symptom of the crud on the inner/backside of the teeth!  Thanks for sharing!
