OT - Just had to share...
We're bringing a new baby into our home this weekend -
Meet STORMIE!!!
Yup, Hazel's been needing a companion for a while now - we've been keeping our eyes peeled for several months, and just came upon this purdy girl a few days ago. She's a 12 week old blue-eyed Staffordshire Terrier/Pit mix
She's at a rescue shelter in Iowa, so we're taking a little road trip this weekend to fetch her! It seems CRAZY for us to do this - everything looked like we didn't stand a chance to get her, as there were several adoption applications submitted before ours. But I took a deep breath and faxed ours in, figuring I'd let God decide if we are supposed to have her or not. They approved my application within one day, but there were still 3 families ahead of us. It sure didn't sound promising... The kids and I got online to check her profile and admire her pictures one more time Tuesday night, but she had been pulled from the website - I was CERTAIN she had found a home
Yesterday I called just to check, and they said that each of the other 3 families had declined for various reasons - found a different dog, decided against spending the $, IT DOESN'T MATTER! SHE'S OURS!!! WE get to bring this precious little girl into OUR family! And I sincerely believe God made that call for us!
I'm beyond excited!!

Darla..Just too cute!! However I have to say now that I am in the full fledged potty training thing with Bea...you must have forgotten what that is all about?? I know it will be worth it but what I came home to today can not be written on here!! Hope you enjoy Stormie as much as I do Bea. One Saturday coffee this summer I'll have to bring her and they can meet.
Hey Donna!
I haven't forgotten, there are definitely a few things in the puppy phase I'm not particularly jazzed about, but our precious pets are SO WORTH IT!!!
We had Hazel kennel trained right from the get-go, and she LOVES her kennel - sometimes opts to go in there for a nap when any couch or bed in the house is available to her! We'll do the same with Stormie, so I don't anticipate any major bouts of destruction.
As for poop and pee? Well, hopefully we'll nail that real quick too - but if not? That's why God invented the Hoover Steam Vac.
