Question about prescriptions after surgery

I have strep throat and was given a rx for penacillan to take twice a day for 10 days. I forgot to ask if I need to do anything different since I had gastric bypass. I'm wondering if since we absorb things differently if I need to take a higher dose or take it for longer. Does anyone know?

Oops, meant to hit edit & not delete on my last post. 

I have taken antibiotics a few times since my surgery & haven't had any problems.  I've also had strep like you have now & took the antibiotics for 10 days (like you're prescribed) and it worked great!
