Pain/pressure in lower stomach??
I've been experiencing stomach pain/pressure in my lower stomach since last night & it's really bothersome. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this? Thankfully I'm already bringing my girls in this morning to get rechecked for strep, so I was able to get myself in too (with my primary) to ask him about my symptoms. It was so bad I couldn't get to sleep last night; I was up walking around trying to get rid of the sharp pain/pressure feeling. It's also making me naseaus & laying down makes me more uncomfortable (that's why trying to go to sleep last night was really tough).
I'm wondering if it has to do with my constipation issues?? Even though I went yesterday, maybe I have a lot more inside of me that needs to come out. Or maybe I have a partial blockage? Has anyone had a blockage before? What did that feel like?

Constipation was my first thought, before I even read you've been having issues with it. Do you still have your gallbladder? Could be that, too.
I've had a small bowel obstruction, twice, but the symptoms were very different. Nauseous, vomiting, stomach cramping... Not fun. Required surgery both times. But I'd bet you're plugged up!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I saw my doctor this morning & he ran a quick UA to make sure I didn't have a kidney infection or kidney stone. I do have a bladder infection, but not a bad enough one that would cause the pain I'm experiencing. He has scheduled a CT scan for me for this afternoon to check my gallbladder, check for constipation, & check for appendicitis. So, hopefully after the scan I will know more. I just hope they're able to figure something out cuz' I'm feeling a lot of discomfort/pain & really sick to my stomach!
Melissa,
I'm sorry to hear about your pain, keep us posted! As you know, I had pain several weeks ago on and off for about a week bad enough that it kept me up at night too. They did a GB ultra sound and said I had "sludge" in my GB which wasn't there in Nov pre surgery. Apparently sludge can come and go and I've been pretty much pain free for the past few weeks. It's something we're going to watch. It's weird to go from feeling great to then having pain (my Dr. said pain is not normal). I'm thinking about you and hope it's nothing!!

I'm still waiting to hear back from my doctor, since he didn't call me yesterday with the results of the scan. I put a call into my clinic & left a message for him to call me so I can know what's going on (I hate waiting around). The pain/discomfort is still there this morning, so hopefully when he calls he can let me know what the scan showed (or didn't show). One thing I know for sure is that it's NOT appendicitis (since after my scan I was able to go home & wasn't sent straight to the hospital), which is really good, so that's one thing I don't need to worry about. I'll be sure I hear something today (I'll keep bugging my doc/clinic) cuz' I'd really like to know what's up.
