Down 120lbs! (pics)
The last 20lbs are the slowest, of course, but it's happening! Since I came here, I have lost about 10lbs..... this weekend I weighed in at 184.5lbs... which means 120lbs gone! WOW! I can't even believe it. Sometimes I feel like I am living in an absolute DREAM! But... it's dream come true thanks to the band!!
It's just surreal that I am in the 180s... and I have lost 120lbs.
My life has changed so much. Or rather... I have changed my life so much.
Before I was full of energy and adventure, but my body could barely keep up. I sprained my ankle 7 times, was always tired, had horrible back pain and just stuck to black pants and isolating myself.
Today... my body feels great, I can wear pretty much anything and feel confident in it, and most of all... I can do all the things I have always wanted to do that obesity took away from me.
I absolutely LOVE my band. This surgery is a test of patience, persistence, perseverance, and self-respect. It taught me to forgive myself, try again, and wait patiently when the body needs time to adjust to weight loss. I've learned that you have to be a little selfish to be healthy... because you have to learn to take care of yourself! But in that... you become healthier... and are a person for those around you!

And here's a photo of something I did today at a folk village in Korea that I could have NEVER done before...
