One month!
As of today, I have been in South Korea for one month! Wow, time flies! This place is really good for my figure so far. I am down from 194lbs to 184.7... I feel great! Clothes fit loosely and there is a lot less of a bulge when I wear fitted shirts! It's such a good feeling!
So far I've had a lot of good WOW moments:
--This weekend I danced for 4 hours straight and last weekend I walked for about 5 hours around the city... with NO PROBLEM! At 300lbs+ there would be NO way my feet would handle that!
--I wore a white button-down dress shirt with a sweater vest on top of it. I know that doesn't sound like much of a WOW moment... but when I was big, it was TOO uncomfortable for me to wear button-down dress shirts... ESPECIALLY in white! I'd drop food and it would catch on my belly... and the shirt would ride up on the stomach... the arms would be uncomfortable... it was just not good. Now it felt just as comfortable as ever!
--I am able to FIT on my kids' play gym and run around it with them and fit down the slide and even have one of the kids on my back when I am climbing through it.
--I can stand on the bus or subway for a long LONG time without my feet hurting
So far so good! I miss Minnesota very much and miss you all :) Good to see everyone online though!

Elena,
I've been living vicariously though your blog as I love to travel and learn about new places. It sounds like you're having a wonderful time and having some great experiences (loved the story about the bus driver that drove you and your gf home)!
I'm sure you're so proud of yourself on a daily basis with all of the things you're doing now that you wouldn't have done at 300+ lbs.!
Keep writing on here and your blog and keep up the good work with all of your food and exercise.
Kristy
P.S. I can't imagine dancing for 4 hours!
Those are some amazing WOW moments hon and I can relate to them all! I loved being able to run around the kids I worked with as well, it just makes you feel good after so many years of not being able to do so. I hope that things continue to go well for you in Seoul and your experience teaching ESL to the children...what a rewarding job that must be!
Hugs!
Hugs!
Elena,
You are someone who I look to as inspiration. You have changed your life so much, and have been so successful with your weight loss. You're achieving moments that I have always dreamed of, like climbing on the playgym and wearing dressy clothes well. You're living your life instead of your weight running you.
You should be soooo proud of yourself and your accomplishments. I hope you're having a great time in South Korea.
Keep up the good work!
