Thanks for your concern ladies. I'm doing pretty well. I still have a lot of pain on my right side from the incision. The PA I talked to at my 1 week follow up said it was because they pulled too large of a section of muscle to sew together. He said once the stitches start to dissolve, the pain will go away, and the skin will hopefully start to flatten out.
I did make things slightly worse for myself though. I have been favoring my right side due to the pain, and using my left more than normal. When a fellow OH friend took me to Target to get a couple of t-shirts, I reached for the bag and felt a pull in my shoulder. After putting up with the pain yesterday, and unable to get into my PCP, I went to the urgent care. The doctor said that I had pulled all the shoulder muscles going into my chest, back, and arm. She said to rest it, ice it, and use Icy Hot balm.
I finally called into the on-call for my clinic, and the surgeon on staff said that I could take Flexeril - which I already had a prescription for at home. I then called the pharmacist to ensure that it would be okay with my Coumadin. So I will take that for a couple of days - until work on Monday- and hope for the best. I was supposed to start working from home on Wednesday, but was too sore.
Overall I feel much better. I am eating different liquids than what they gave me in the hospital. I am sleeping in my own bed. I'm eating and drinking well, but I sure am tired!!
Thanks again for you concern, and I only have 2 more pounds to lose to get me back to my pre-surgery weight!!

Nicole, I am sorry about the side pain. I had it so bad so I can really sympathize big time. But glad you are seeing the scale drop, it's sooooooo fun don't you think? And it will just keep getting better and better.
Tough it out through this very first hard part, I promise you'll feel better ok?
