Update on Nicole
I spoke with Nicole (NBarabash) this morning & just wanted to update everyone on her status in case she doesn't feel up to getting on-line to post.
She is still in the hospital & will be staying there again for tonight. She still has not passed gas (after having surgery on Thurs) so they have ordered a suppository to see if that will help get things going down there & her PCP has also ordered a scan to see if she may have a partial blockage at all. She is having a lot of gas pain & nausea, and while they work to get her nausea under control they've been holding off on some of her pain meds which means that her pain levels haven't been under control either. It also seems whenever they bring her food they're bringing her things that we're (WLS patients) not supposed to have at this stage (like oatmeal that's super thick, full sugar popsicles, broth with chunks in it, etc) so she's been having a rough time getting in much food. And to make things a bit more difficult, for the past couple of nights she had a pretty mean nurse. Thankfully she had a great conversation with the main floor nurse (not sure if that's the correct term) this morning who was super understanding & apologetic, so hopefully tonight (which may be her last night) will go much more smoothly.
As long as there is no blockage & she is able to pass gas & get her nausea under control it looks like she will be able to go home tomorrow. I will definitely keep you all updated as I find out more info.

I'm not sure why they can't give her anti-nausea meds and pain meds, I got both and it worked well even though I had some very nauseaous periods.
I just hope you feel better soon Nicole
Hugs
