what have I done?

Sorry for the whining.
While I understand your concerns, you need to know that over time what you need to think about now becomes second nature later. Think of it as learning to ride a bike.
In the beginning of biking you need to think how to steady yourself on the bike, and it wobbled for a while. But once you got the hang of it, you were venturing out on your journey. Same with your weight loss journey.
Before you know it, you will be traveling down that path of success without a thought in the world. Occasionally you will hit a pot-hole, or fall off the bike, but then it becomes so easy to get back on the bike and re-continue down the road.
Now I won't lie, there comes times when you do need to stop and think, how having this food will affect me, but that's a good thing ... and normal. Don't you think "skinny/average" people do this all the time? They do - sometime much more than we do.
And the other great thing to remember, you have a lot of friend here who will help you.
Finally, stop apologizing for whining. YOU ARE NOT WHINING !! You are voicing a concern many have. And that in itself is a major accomplishment !! Would you have had the strength before to do this?
Good luck !!
Tom

Embrace it. It gets to be pretty exciting after a bit. I am 3 weeks out too! I started to practice a month before surgery and I still wasn't quite ready for the actual post surgery life.
