sore throat and surgery

I am really worried.  My sinuses are bugging me and my throat hurts.  I don't have a fever, but my throat does really hurt.

I am so worried they will cancel my surgery.  Does anyone have experience with this? 

I actually had strep throat 2 days before surgery.  Surgeon was okay with it as long as my pcp was.  It all worked out.

My surgery is mon am at 5:30.  i am pretty sure I don't have strep- no fever just bad sinus and sore throat...and I have no decaf tea without echinacea in my house :(
I'm going to go tomorrow to my job and sit in the steam room and hope that helps...

 Not feeling better today.  Still no fever, but throat and sinuses are not good.
I talked to the oncall person who said they may decide to defer the surgery depending upon how I look or feel tomorrow morning.  i would be so sad if they did that!  I am ready to do this now.
I am drinking tons of liquids and resting today hoping that I'll feel better by tomorrow.
