Truvia?
Have you tried Truvia sweetener yet? It comes in a powder much like Splenda or Nutrasweet. It claims to be all natural and no calories. I just poured one into a water bottle and added a squish of lime. It's different...I'll give it that. Not sure about it yet. May try it on some fruit later. Just wonder if anyone else has tried it. Wondering if I can bake with the stuff. Maybe muffins?
I've tried it, and meh, it's okay. Nothing special- I can definitely taste a stevia aftertaste. I did try baking with it (mini protein muffins!), but I had to guestimate the amount of sweetener, and I could still taste the stevia aftertaste. I like Sun Cystals a LOT better. If you decide you like it, I'll give you what's left of my box of Truvia!
I use Stevia from Trader Joe's and like that just fine - I think Truvia is made from the stevia plant as well, but I haven't tried it yet.
Also agree with BigFun on the Sun Crystals - not bad at all.
Here's the Truvia baking conversion chart from their website, Paul. Hope this helps you out in your baking endeavors. If it doesn't show up correctly, here's the link to their site. www.truvia.com/recipes/conversion-chart/default.aspx
