I was brought to the hospital after my endoscopy yesterday.  Some how they managed to put a hole in my poor little pouch.  I had stomach acids and air floating around my stomach and chest cavity.  I had surgery last night with Dr. Baker to clean up the area and closed up my pouch. He also stated that this kind of thing was very rare.  So, I am at Unity hospital until the earliest Sunday and at the latest Tuesday.  The very bad news is that I have to start all over at the liquid stage....Boo.  So I've had the opportunity of meeting Dr. Baker and some of his staff which has been awesome.  They weren't able to transfer me to Southdale because it was too far away.  Well, hopefully this was the last of my complications.

YEEIKES, Christine!   What a bummer!   I hope you are now on the path to recovery and everything goes way smooth!   Does starting over at the liquid stage mean you'll lose fast again?  I surely hope there is an upside in here somewhere for you.

Feel better fast.

Thanks Tuna!  I'm hoping that the weight will come off fast again!  I've gained 6 pounds from all the fluids they are giving me.  Not that that really matters in the grand scheme of things.  I'm just counting down the hours till I can have some ice chips. yum yum!

Thanks everyone for the support!  It's much appreciated!

The good news is you have had an early revision!  :-)

Did they do it all laproscopically or did they have to open you up?
