OT: Grandpa Rick
About a month earlier than expected,I became a grandfather for the first time this morning. We drove all night to be with my son and his wife here in Chicago. Their son, Finley, or Finn, which they tell me means light-haired warrior, was born late this morning, weighing in at 5 lbs 14 ounces, at 20 inches long, with strawberry blonde hair. He is so beautiful! Even though he entered the world a little early, he is healthy and his Mom is doing fine, too.

Congratulations, Grandpa Rick! Is it not amazing how we fall in love with these babes the first time we look at them? I was in no hurry to be a grandparent, but when I got my two grandsons last year, I was obnoxious in my joy and love for them. Enjoy every single minute of having Finn in your life!
