I'm having my homemade soup, beef sticks, and a protein shake today.....

I'm doing my treadmill and home gym today, maybe a walk outside......

How are you moving/eating today?

  I am struggleing a bit. I am wee 2 post op and the Nurse called to ensure I was going to pureed foods. I was thinking I had to stay liquid only.
   I got my portions wrong. I should have started on 1-2 oz, but ended up  going more like half a cup. BIG mistake. when I tried it with cottage cheeze, I got the big warning that I had gone beyond where I should. I am now trying to put the genie back in the bottle, but the experience un-nerved me.

I bet you were un-nerved....Yikes....

Glad the nurse called you....Stick to the plan and you will be successful...

I'm over 2 years out and after 9 months started to try new things, etc.....Bad girl.....I have gained 15 pounds back....I'm trying to get back on track, but once your on maintenance it's just as hard as before surgery......

Good luck to you, and make sure you get in some exercise, it really helps the weight loss plus it's good for you.....

Good morning Kelly....

I am going to try and walk again today. been sick with this lousy cold all week and haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked to....today is another day...trudge on!!

I am tryiimg hard to not go over 1000 calories a day and still get all my protein in...I am doing it but it isn't easy!!

Will you send me the recipe for your soup....I am thinking if I use plenty of beef and make it thick maybe I can eat it....it sounds soooooo good!

I hope you feel better soon.....Marek is a little sick to with a cough and stuffy nose......I just wish Spring would come, I'm so sick of Winter and freezing my butt off.....

1,000 calories is tough....My protein shakes alone are 250 calories....

I will PM you the recipe....I make my soup thick too......

Walk walk walking... I'm doing the Healthpartners 10,000 steps program for our Wellness incentive for work... 

Bad so far today for food though... I don't even want to talk about it.
Coffee.. most of one sausage burrito from McD's..
then I just ate almost 1/4 of bagel with pb... some water.. today is not a good day..
I ate the bagel out of stress from $$$ and moving next week... BAD ME!

Great job on the 10,000 steps.....

Don't beat yourself up on the bad food choices today, we all have those...Just get back on track.....

You mean we are actually supposed to EAT today?!  OOPS!  This day has gotten away from me that's for sure!

I'm on my way to our lunch room in about 5 minutes and I"m hoping that they have something that I can eat since I left my breakfast and lunch on the counter (I really hope my dog enjoyed it!).

On the plus side, I'm getting my liquids in today since I have been on the phone constantly and need to drink plenty of water while I talk so that's a good thing!

As for moving, I will be going to the gym tonight with my sister and will be doing the bike, treadmil and eliptical.

You sound like me with Dogs....I had my potatoes sitting on the floor in the bag, came home and the dog had eaten a few, uhhh...Have them up on the counter now....

Great job on getting in your liquids, that is so important also....I'm still not drinking as much as I should....I have no excuse either.....

Your lucky you a have Sisiter to go work out with, that makes it so much more fun.....

Not sure on my movement for today but my food has been pretty good so far.  Was running late this morning (getting the kids off & getting me off to work) & I forgot to grab breakfast for myself.  I ended up grabbing the Strawberry Banana nonfat protein smoothie from Starbucks for my breakfast (not ideal, but worked out ok).  For lunch I had steamed shrimp & veggies (leftovers) which was super yummy.  Not sure on the plan for dinner yet, will have to figure something out when I get home.

As for working out I really gotta get my butt in gear.  I was sick for the 1st half of the month & now I've started a new job so my whole schedule has gotten thrown off.  I need to fit in working out cuz' not only will it help with my weight loss but it will also help me in being healthy overall.  I have a gym membership (no gym equipment at home) so I need to work in time to get to the gym.  I'm debating getting up early to get to the gym before work on the days that I work (that'll take commitment cuz' I'll have to wake up by like 5am to get to the gym, get in 45 min. of working out & then get back home again).  Then the other days I don't work I can find time to get to the gym throughout the day (either late morning or in the evening with my hubby & kids).

How many days do you guys work out?  Daily?  I want to eventually work up to working out daily, but for me to say that I will do that now would be an unrealistic goal.  I'm shooting for 3-4 days per week.  Now I just need to sit down & map out when I'm gonna do those 3-4 days each week & then stick to it!
