I'm SUPER excited for you Nicole!!  I'm doing a little happy dance in celebration that your big day is just around the corner! 

Look forward to having you join me on this journey & let me know what help you need getting all prepped.  Can't wait to visit you next Thursday/Friday (once you're up for visitors) to welcome you to losers bench!!!

Thank you all for the congrats.  After talking to a couple of friends, I think I am starting to calm down!  I am so excited and nervous, I can't even concentrate today!  It's hard to believe in only a few days my whole life will change. 

I just want to thank you all for you support, it means a lot.  Although my husband, children, even my Mother -in-law are supportive, my parents aren't still that enthusiastic because of the risks.  It's hard to share my joy and enthusiasm with them because I feel like a child doing something wrong.

I look forward to continuing on this journey, and to joining you all on the bench!

As for your parents, BEING a parent, I can understand their concern. Just share some of the stories you've read here, and tell thim - "I WANT THAT FOR ME!"

I just saw your post, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  How exciting to have a date!  This week is going to fly by.  Your emotions will be all over the board and that's normal.  I'm really excited for you, all of your hoop jumping has paid off.

CONGRATS! What a unexpected blessing to have your surgery date moved up and everything fall into place!

On another note, my parents were the same way... very against it because of the risk... but 80-some pounds later that have come around.
