How soon can you start pestering Medica?
I called the Southdale WLC today, and they said they submitted my paperwork to Medica yesterday, and they have proof of receipt from them.
I mentioned to Gretchen that I could start pestering them in a few days then, and she told me to not bother them, to wait at least a week. She said that sometimes it can slow down the process for everyone, and that they would call me when they've heard, but to call the clinic if I did hear first.
From what I've heard on the board, this is the opposite from what everyone here did? So, my questions is, how soon can I start calling politely to ask where they are in my approval process?

P.S. On a good note, even without approval they've signed me up for their pre-op class so I don't have any issues with my desired surgery date of March 18th.

I had Medica for my surgery. My paperwork was submitted on a Monday and within 8 business days I got the call of approval. I found out from the insurance first (I had called them on a whim and they said it was approved) and then my clinic called me a few hours later to set up my date. Though it feels like FOREVER if you give them about a week from submission and then ask that's fine. =)
