I wanna clean my carpet....suggestions?

I have pets and small children about......with that said - my carpets are in major need of cleaning

do you own your own carpet cleaner? If so, which one?

If not, what do you use to clean your carpet: a service? Rent a carpet cleaner (which one)?

Also, what do you use with the machine....brand recommendations (keeping in mind PETS) LOL

I have my own carpet cleaner, and I have also rented one, the rented one does the same job as mine, I just thought I would see if there was a differance in them and too me there was not. I use resolve carpet cleaner and spray and I love it. I do daycare so you can Imagine the amount of pee That gets on my carpet when trying to potty train and food getting dropped on the floor. We have carpet throughout the house so I shampoo at least every 3 months or if needed sooner. It pays for itself let me tell ya. Good luck to ya??????

Hey there I got it at Walmart, and I think it was right around 199.00 but I am not for sure for gosh sakes I can't remember what the heck I did a couple days ago let alone 2 plus years LOL I have had it for about 2 1/2 years maybe. I think it is a hoover ........................Hope this helps.....................

We have multiple pets who have bad manners. We have a Bissel carpet cleaner, just used it this weekend on the whole apartment. We used Resolve cleaner in it this time and it seemed to work well. We have used other off brand cleaners in the past that seem to work as well.We got our steam cleaner at a garage sale for $15 dollars, totally worth it!

I wondered if the Resolve worked so this eases my mind about that

I actually just bought a steam cleaner on saturday being that I just got a dog last monday. I know I'm going to need it with this little **** and crap machine running around. Hopefully it works good.

And My dog that I got is a 3 1/2 month old German Shepard/mix. Not sure what it is mixed with, but hass the look of a shepard.
