I was also directed that RNY's need to do Calcium Citrate..

I take my calcium citrate + D (Citracal petites) 3, 3x a day during while I am at work.

Per my WLS I had to do chewable calcium citrate + D until I was 6 mons out because they did not want one to acccidentally get stuck in my healing stoma and block anything.

What I did instead was dissolve the Citracal's in my water I drank.. so I just make sure to split my water while I was at work into at least 3 portions, and I dissolved 3 Citracals in each water bottle.. and got it in that way... couldn't even taste them with my crystal light. My dietitian said that way was just fine...

Now I just take the 3 Citracal + D petites 3x a day...

Thank you all for the great info.  I had also been told Calcium Citrate by the WLS book but heard from others that Calcium Carbonate was fine too.  I just had so much trouble finding the citrate in chewable that I went with Carbonate.  I will re-double my efforts and track down Citrate.  IHerb here I come.  :-)
