Gallbladder???
Well like I posted a while ago I had some sort of attack??? Went to have a ultra sound yesterday so I won't know anything till the doc calls but I am just wondering if it is totally possible to have pain on the left side and it still be gallbladder issues? I have pain after eating or drinking certain things, would gallbladder issues act that quickly, I can eat or drink and feel pain in minutes! Shortly after surgery, I had an ulcer that I was told was not the typical ulcer it strictly came from surgery and would disappear w/ med. Could it be back? What would cause pain after eating or drinking on the left side right under my ribs? I am so wanting to know what is going on I can't wait to hear back from the doc!!

I'm lucky enough to have had both a Gallbladder attack AND a postWLS ulcer (actually 2). For me, they felt a lot alike. I had pain in the middle of my upper stomach right underneath my ribcage. Both times they told me it was acid problems. That's exactly what it felt like. With the ulcers I had a LOT of nausea, constipation and pain. With my gallbladder I had a lot of pain, diarhhea and would have pain after eating.
Good luck to you!!!! Neither of these are fun.

Please spay and neuter your pets!
Being the bowel obstruction queen, I would add that as a possibility - not yet obstructed if you're not tossing your cookies, but could be a partial obstruction or a kink. I've been told there is a sharp turn in our intestines in that general area on the left, and that can be a point at which things start causing trouble.
But definitely wait for the results from your ultrasound -

Linda just wanted to let you know that if you are having pain of course call the DR. Your pancreaes is on the left side of your abd and your galbladder is on the right side. You can get pacreatist with gallbladder problems so please check with your Dr. Also if you notice any yellowing of your eyes or skin or have clay colored stools. Then should be ASAP Hope this helps Good luck
