Thanks, gals!  I am doing well.  Have to confess my face is the biggest area of difference!

Michael is now scheduled for March 3, after a couple of delays.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Unfortunately, there were some unavoidable delays, some due to health things, then the final delay was surgeon's assistant had the week off - after we had everything to go.  Oh, well. Onward we go...

I have to say in reading back a year ago in my journal how much I hated myself and never wanted to leave the house.  I felt so bad about the way I looked and my feet hurt all the time.  It's funny how you forget those really bad feelings.  I feel so good now.  With the reading on the scale steadily going down the reading on the self esteem meter was steadily going up.
Just loving the way I look and liking myself is a guilty pleasure.

I'm still kind of scared to buy new clothes in the retail stores, but once I find something that fits at the Savers I get an idea of size.   Then I go to a big box store and try on six or seven pairs of pants just to confirm that I really can wear those clothes.   Don't buy anything and just waste my time and theirs, but I enjoy it so much!   Guilty pleasure for sure!

Well, I think my fave thing post-WLS is being able to cross my legs!  And to be able to cross them UNDER a table???  WOW, never thought that would happen!  But I also love the thighs not rubbing together.  Whenever I wore out a pair of pants, THAT'S the place they wore out first!

There are lots of guilty pleasures I've experienced in nearly 7 years post-op.  All of the ones mentioned so far are mine too.  How about being able to wear a tight sweater TUCKED in with a belt?  How about being able to buy a belt?

Being too thin to shop at a store

Not sweating when no one else is either.  yikes, I was always hot, even when no one else was...sweat at work, sweat during a job interview...couldn't cool down in a reasonable time...

Having people in your life now that never knew you fat.

embracing the non-diet lifestyle.....
why guilty pleasure?  Well, I still feel guilty being able to eat the foods I do but what pleasure they bring me LOL!

I can't tell you how great it has been to watch the deluge of diet commercials (i.e. NutriSystem, Weigh****chers, Slim Genics...etc..) and know that I'll NEVER need those again!

Ok, I'll bit. I haven't been on the board for a while..... Just so blasted busy.

Post-op: shopping, crossing legs under a table, getting on the floor and play with the grandbabies & being able to get up without struggling!
