What Antibiotics can we take????
I'm waiting for Dr Benn's office to call me back before I go into the Target Clinic in seek of antibiotics...................... still waiting, please, make the phone ring!
I have a screaming sinus infection and need antibiotics. I'm afraid to just go to the Dr without asking the question. What is safe for my pouch, everything? I'm just not sure.
Anyone want to chime in with a little help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Tess
Not meant to flame, you're doing the right thing by waiting for his call.
Hope you get some relief, my hubby had a raging sinus infection right about this time last year, and it was H.E.L.L.!!!!!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I definitely agree with the ASK THE DOCTOR!
I had a UTI right after thanksgiving and they gave me Flagyll - I reacted instantaniously as soon as it hit my pouch... within 5 minutes I was in anaphalactic (spelling) shock - it was NOT pretty.
Apparently I developed a sensitivity after my surgery - I used to be able to take it.
Now I don't take ANYTHING unless I talk to the doctor directly and I am near someone that can call 911 - scared the SPIT out of me!
The only down side (for me) was after taking the antibiotic for a few days I had the worst yeast infection I have ever had (worse than anytime prior to & after surgery). Not sure if this is something you have had to deal with when you take antibiotics or not, but it seems that I'm MUCH more sensitive now post-surgery to getting yeast infections (with antibiotics) than I was pre-surgery. My doctor was able to prescribe an oral anti-fugal medication for me to take while I was taking my antibiotics, but my yeast infection got soooo bad that I had to stop my antibiotics & go on a stronger yeast infection oral medication. It took 2 weeks to get rid of the yeast infection (I know, TMI huh?!?!) Again, this is DEFINITELY only something to discuss with your doctor, and not sure if this has ever been an issue for you or not, but if you feel things not feeling quite right 'down there' be sure to call your doctor so they can help you out!
Hope you feel better real soon!!
