Attack of some sort?
Just wondering if anyone has experienced what I experienced over the week end...started w/ mild pain right below my ribcage across my stomach, turned into quite severe pain (same area) w/in an hour or so. Couldn't walk upright, hunched over a little felt a little better than being straight up. Couldn't lay on my left side or my back, seemed a tiny bit better on my right side. Pain was much much worse upon changing position than would become a little more bearable once I was used to the different position. If I had to say my left side after 10 hours or so was hurting more than the right side. When I would breath in, the pain would be worse, couldn't cough or do anything that seemed to require me to take a deep breathe. Wasn't hungry, tried Malox, tums and pepcid, nothing worked, no fever, had a BM the day before so I don't think it was constipation. All this lasted from 10am Sat. morning until 5am Sunday morning, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Wow! So sorry! Did you have any pain in your jaw or arms? I of course think heart? But it could be a Gall Bladder attack very easily. I would call your Dr or Benn's office and get yourself checked out. No matter what it was, it doesn't sound normal. Please call and have them decide what you need to do.
I hope it was an isolated event and you feel better!

Sounds like a gall bladder thing to me too. it's the most excruitiating pain. Get in and get checked out and get surgery scheduled and be sure to stay away from anything greasy or fatty - that makes the gall bladder kick in and you'll have another attack - stick to a very bland diet until you can have it removed. Of course, this is a lay-person's opinion, I'm not a doctor.
Thanks All!! I did call Dr. Benn's office and they tried to tell me that this was a one time thing caused by me healing from surgery??? Surgery was 10 months ago, can something really still be healing and causing that much pain???? I'm not sure I agree to what they said but I am better right now, not 100% yet, I will have twinges of pain that come and go really quickly and just feel under the weather. Thru out the day I have had pain between my shoulder blades off and on, does that mean anything?? Also just now as I was typing I have had my 3rd time today of my ears ringing and feeling like they closed up, like I have ear plugs in?? Gosh I'm a mess today!! Also I know this sounds weird and possibly not connected to anything, but Sat when at my worst my legs ached also, now today when my legs start aching in a certain spot I will get a pain in my upper stomach a little bit later. Maybe I am over analyzing every ache and pain now!!!!
