Protein help
You can mix the protein powers in coffee but you have to be careful that the coffee isn't to hot when you do it.
I can't eat tuna either, have you tried refried beans with greek yogurt and salsa? That is one of my favorites.
Greek yogurt mixed with sugar free pudding and a protien powder of choice is good too.
If you have a Trader Joes near you they have some Turkey meat balls that are wonderful.
Hope this helps a little.
Hope you findf sdomething that works for you, Donna. Are you doing well other than this?

I like the flavor of J Robb or NOW protein best in protein shakes. For the past year or so I have been making protein fiber bars to get in enough protein and have used cheaper protein powder for that because the flavor is masked with the other ingredients. I would be happy to send you the recipe if you want it. For awhile after surgery I switched to Silk Soy Milk because regular milk didn't settle well. That lasted until I was 5 or 6 months out and now regular milk is OK again, although I don't drink it....I have it on cereal or mixed into my protein fiber bars. As much as I like meat, I have found that I eat less meat than I used to and more yougurt, cottage cheese and regular cheese. I detest the no-fat cottage cheese, but I have made do with mixing in some Splenda and cinnamon or salsa. The salsa thing sounds gross, but it is surprisingly good. Since you are lactose intolerant , none of that may work for you. Another thing to try is textured vegetable protein or TVP, which is granulated soy or Tofu. I have spaghetti sauce over TVP or firm tofu instead of pasta and it isn't too bad. I like the firm tofu best, cubed and heated up before adding the spaghetti sauce. Anyway, good luck and happy experimenting.

I eat plenty of Tuna, Talapia..etc.....
I also like turkey and chicken brats....turkey breat and cheese roll ups etc...
Any kind of beans are a great source of protein. My favorite is refried beans w/cheese.
Chili is good....lots of lean ground beef or turkey and plenty of beans....I also top it with cheese. I like my chili really thick as my surgeon doesn't like us eating soup.
Have a great day...hugs....connie d
