Waiting for insurance approval...

Hi, all! I met with my surgeon yesterday and now it's being submitted to insurance. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield Minnesota. For those of you with BCBS, how long did it take for your approval to come back? I am already anxiously awaiting the response!

I have BCBS, 8 days from the day it was submitted to a call from my clinic w/ the approval. Good Luck! Who's your surgeon?

He was mine to, I liked him a lot and his after care was great . My BCBS approval to about a week. Good luck to you. hope to see you at coffee soon.

I have BCBS and if I remember right, it was less than 7 days....

I also have BCBS and they contacted me at 3 days if I remember and then they proceded to send me a letter at about 7 days. But they never contacted my surgeon's office. They found out when I told them and they had to call them.

I just got off the phone with BCBS of MN my paperwork went in last Monday and they told me that it would take about 10 days. Sitting here thinking about it I called this time I was told they are really backed up and very busy right now so I should have an answer by the middle of Feb. at the earliest!!!! Really it takes that long to approve all my paperwork should be complete. Jumped through all their hoops! Waiting is the worst! Good luck let me know when you get approved! Sorry if I sound harsh had to vent! LOL!

I had BCBS but out of CA. But it sounds like they all take around the same amount of time (around a week or so). Just wanted to let you know that I had Dr. Laguna & he was GREAT!! Good luck with your upcoming surgery & keep us posted on when you hear back & when your big day will be!

Oh, and hopefully you can join all of us 'south of the river' folks at coffee sometime. We meet every Saturday in either Burnsville or Eagan at 8:30am. This Saturday we're meeting in Burnsville at the Caribou right outside of Burnsville Center right by Sears. Hope you're able to make it!
