I barfed in a Target bag in the car

 Oh what a banner day!  I went to WLS Office so they can see why the hell I am still have so much left side pain.  They are going to try Ibuprophen to cut inflammation, if that doesn't work I have to have a CAT Scan.

So my 6 yr old son is with me and we stop at Target and I have some chicken soup broth (lucky kid got a cheese pizza) and I took the 4 pills, thought I'd waited long enough in between pills............. guess not!

I at least had the foresight to empty one "just in case" bag and made it about 2 blks and pulled over and barfed 3 times.  My poor son was so stunned "Mom, why are you throwing up!"  It scared him!  But I made light of it and explained I was fine.

So I am no longer a Vomit Virgin   Great, another club I didn't want to join!   So now I'm afraid to take another pill!  I just hope it helps my pain, or I'll be miffed.  That is it for my rant for now.  Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear you are still having trouble, Tess.   Take those pills one at a time a few hours apart and see if that helps them get to where they are goin'.   It will get better, I promise.

So WLS has made you do something that 4 years of fraternity-sorority drinking parties was unable to do...  make you vomit!  lol!  I laugh mostly because I have also joined the club... two different times now...  NOT fun!

Oh dear. How long are you supposed to take the ibuprofen? Do they have you on liqui-gels? (I imagine those are way too big for you).

I thought RNY'ers had to take it easy on the non-steriodal-anti-inflammatories anyway?  NSAIDS:  ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)  So, is 4 pills of ibuprofen 800 mg's?  That seems like an awful lot to take for your pouch.  ????

I'd skip the NSAIDS and ask for the CT Scan right away. 

Do they want to give you an ulcer so that you have left sided pain, AND stomach/pouch pain from an ulcer?  Sheesh.
