Belly Fat... how do you win the battle?

So I'm down 70 lbs.. yay for me!

I have about 30 lbs to goal to go...

I'm feeling fatter around my belly than I ever have, even 70lbs ago! My body has gotten thinner.. arms and thighs seem to be shrinking finally...   When I stand in the mirrow and look at myself straight on, I look "thin" if you will... But then I turn sideways and look at myself from the side and I want to cry... I have a pooch that sticks out above my belly button still.. its still a chubby pooch, not skin related...  Then I have the 2nd belly below the belly button.. ugh...
I seem to be perpetually stuck in 12's... 10's fit except for the waist where I am all belly fat

How did you battle belly fat?  Any tricks?
I am working out an hour 5x a week, and I'm getting my protein and water in.. I know you need cardio to lose the fat, and  my work outs also incorporate an ab strengthening routine...
Does this just have to do with losing that last 30lbs? How do you best battle belly fat?

Feelin' like a jolly santa with a muffin top above my jeans....

Stacy, you must be my "separated at birth twin"!    I have the same thing going on.   All along I have lost from the top down and the bottom up and my belly is still not right, either.  That said, I am wearing the 12s instead of 10s just so my muffin isn't as noticeable.  Sooner or later the belly fat will have to go, right?   My belly was the worst before, so I guess it's only normal that it's the last to go.  Keep the faith, sistah!   We will get there.

That said, 12s aren't so bad, are they??   I'm lovin' it!

Hi Twin!

Yes I agree.. I jump for joy about 12's its Amazing! And I'm not even upset about not being in 10's.. for me this journey has never been about sizes... a smaller size is just another bonus!

Glad i'm not alone! i guess thinking back my belly probably was the last thing to get really bad.. so it's probably the last thing that will get really good... ha ha

I'll just keep doing what I'm doing! Because I'm being told by my NUT & RN's its all right.! ha!

Make it triplets!! I'm in the same situation...  I wish the last 10-15 pounds would all come from my tummy but somehow I don't see that happening.    I figure I look better with a muffin top in size 10 jeans than a muffin body in my old size 20-22!

Exactly!   I feel like if I could just lose 10 from my belly I'd be fine.   Guess I'll have to work ion building some muscle so the fat will burn away from the right spot.  Here's rubbin' my belly and wishing for good luck for all of us!

I'm with you!  Stupid belly fat is the worst!  I especially hate the lower tummy bulge.  Wish I could just cut it off.  I don't want to get any thinner in the face or arms, just the tummy.  Ugh, I guess I'll always have something to complain about.

Here's what you do.

Go to Wallyworld, hit the underwear section.

Look for the Shapewear tank (AKA "shrinkwrap").  $15 later, you'll figure out how to wiggle into that sucker, and it's nothing short of amazing how it helps!

Seriously, I know I was more superginormouslymorbidlyobese than the average bear, but short of abdominoplasty, I don't know that we'll EVER get rid of that pooch entirely.  Although it was rather difficult to wrap my HEAD around wearing it, it really helps to snug things up.  I don't like feeling jiggly - I wear mine pretty much every day.
