BCBS MN ???

I just had my last appt. before sending to my  insurance on Monday.  Just wondering if anyone else has or had this insurance and wondering how long it took to hear from them?  My doc's office said paperwork should be sent out by end of this week.  I'm impatient it's going to be a long month or so!!! 

I called 7 days after my surgeon submitted, and was approved with BCBS MN..GOOD LUCK!!

My experience was similar, less than 2 weeks, for sure.

They have 30 days from the date they received it to get your answer back to you, but it usually doesn't take that long.  Unless of course you are me but that's a whole 'nother issue!

I had BCBS MN and it took 8 days.

I was told they had 10 days to respond and it didn't take them that long to approve mine! 

Thank you for responses! I talked with the insurance people at the clinic yesterday and my doc is on vacation this week and she is the one that will complete my paperwork  so I guess it's not going to be sent in till at least Wednesday.  So sit and wait! I'm just hoping if I am approved that it won't be too long till a scheduled surgery date. Good news is that my surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet weeks before surgery!

I rcvd the ok within a week, I was pretty nervous as I had a date pencilled in, so I could try and get my surgery done as soon after classes ended so I could be healed by the time  classes started again.  I think I held my breathe until I got the letter... and it all worked out and we changed to pencil to ink. :)

They are pretty easy to deal with, just ask them how busy they are, if the date is an issue with you they can pencil in a date, reserve you a spot. At least it gives you something to look forward to and you can start making plans.

One good thing is Dr Smith should be all ready to go after a vacation!!! Nice to know he will be rested and relaxed. I think I would rather have surgery after they get back rather than right before they leave. :)

I was told 10 days and it was 4:55 pm on the 10th day that I heard. I too am impatient and started calling in the 5th day to make sure they had everything. No problems with them covering anything, once I met the deductible they covered everything.
