Aww!  Connie I am so sorry this year is starting out so harsh for Carrie and her family.

I work for the State of MN and I know that they are always looking for dedicated employees who can do work.  Have her submit her resume at  http://www.careers.state.mn.us/ make sure she puts what kinds of programs she knows and if she has any other specialties such as speaking more than one language.

I'm guessing from the little you posted about her position she would qualify for the Office and Administrative Specialists positions or some Accounting positions.  I"m not sure of her qualifications, but I hope it works out.  I know from personal experience that the benefits are good and the pay is comparable.

Best of luck and (((HUGS))) to you and your family!

Hi, Connie.

I watch you spread so much hope and good cheer and love on this site all the time, and I hope it all comes back to you and your family  a hundred fold!   I'm so sorry to hear that you have another thing to worry about.  Maybe Carrie can afford the COBRA for awhile anyway; the stimulus money that pays 65% of the premium was extended.

I've been hoping 2010 would be an improvement for all of us , but the first thing that happened to us was my husband's pay getting cut by 1/3.   My oldest son just bought a house and got his hours cut to 15 a week at Denny's, so we're worried about him, too.  Youngest son has no job and neither do I.  Oh, well.  There must be better things ahead.

I wish you and yours better things to come, Connie, and have said a prayer for all of you.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's job, and the insurance and cost issue for Kyleigh's ongoing care.  That's got to be incredibly stressful for you all.  Hugs!!

Connie I am so sorry to hear of all this.  Even though I'm not a true believer in the whole bible thing...I do know that it does say in the bible that the lord will never give you more than he/she thinks you can handle...I hope that if you are a believer that you can find comfort in that in this time of turmoil.

Your family is in my thoughts and I'm waving my chicken for you all!!
