So I've hit it.  I'm in the middle of it.  I' trying to get out of it!  The plateau.  I've been exercising 5 days a week at the Y.  I've been drinking water.  Until recently I was drinking diet soda, but am cutting it out.  The only problem that I can see is the snacking.  I need help.  Maybe people have things that worked for them?!

You probably just need to change up your choice of foods a little.  YES....get rid of that diet soda....more water will help.
As you know you are probably still losing inches....don't give up....you will start losing pounds again!!

Yup - you'll lose inches or pounds, and usually not so much at the same time.  Your body is adjusting, it needs to take breaks to figure out how to shift stuff around.

If you are eating/drinking things you know you shouldn't, cut that out.  You didn't have WLS to be able to do those things without consequences.

If you're working out a lot, you're building muscle - which weighs more than fat, which makes it seem like you're not losing, or heaven forbid, perhaps even GAINING??  Go by how your clothes fit more than you go by the evil scale.

Sometimes you actually have to INCREASE your calories a little to get things jump-started.  Reassure your body that you aren't starving it, so it doesn't need to cling to everything it has.  But when I say add a few calories, I don't mean M&Ms or Ho-Hos.  I mean PROTEIN.  Beef jerky, tuna, cottage cheese, a low-carb protein bar...  something WLS FRIENDLY.

It'll kick in again, just don't put junk in your tank.
