One of the bandsters on the lapband board posted a similar post and it is exactly how I am feeling too...so I thought I would post it over here to get some tips.

I am sooooo excited but also soooooo nervous about tomorrow.  I could not sleep at all last night and I'm sure it will be the same tonight.  I work today so hopefully that will distract me a little.  I should have taken today off....but oh well.  I don't have surgery until 1:40.    I am trying to take deep breaths and relax but nothing seems to be working......Any advice?

I will be thinking of everyone else that is having surgery tomorrow and praying for a safe surgery and quick recovery.  Good Luck to us all!  Maybe I'll see a couple of you in the halls!!

Woo Hoo!  We are going to be on the losers bench tomorrow!

I had such anxiety before surgery I broke out in hives and they had to reschedule.  So I wouldn't freak out again, Dr Pierce gave me a RX for a Valium the night before and the morning of surgery.  Don't be afraid to call and ask for something if you think you need it.  Also, tomorrow morning as you're waiting in the pre-op area, you can ask for something for anxiety then too. That's the GOOD stuff! :-)

Starting the hinder sliding already.  Soooooo glad this losing bench is splinter free.  Take care, wishing you the best of recoveries.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!

I think I am all set.  My mom and Dad are going to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things for me tomorrow, I have my kitchen cleaned out of all forbidden foods and organized for blending and pureeing, popsicles are in a cooler on the deck (only in MN.....).  Now if I could only fall asleep.
