Thanks for making me feel welcome

I wanted to thank everyone who was at the Burnsville coffee this morning for making me feel so welcome.  Being included in your conversations and seeing your weight loss successes has been a great comfort to me.  I was so excited to tell my husband about what there is to look forward to!

Although I don't officially start my WLS journey until my first appointment on Tuesday, I look forward to the process, knowing that I have great people that I can look to for answers and support.

So, thank you all.

It was nice to meet you this morning at coffee.  Congratulations on making the decision to start this crazy journey.  I'm so new (less than 4 weeks post op) it seems crazy as I'm just begging to understand how wonderful I'm going to feel even further out!  I started going to coffee before meeting with my surgeon as well.  The support and friendships I've made in just the last 2 months have been amazing.  I look forward to seeing you again soon and let me know if I can help you or answer any questions!

I'm so glad you were able to come along with me to meet this wonderful group of people.  It's so nice to meet others who have gone through what you're about to; it helps you realize what's to come & help ease some of the worries.

I know your Saturday's are usually booked with activities, but hopefully down the road you'll be able to find some time to attend another meet-up.  There's also the support group at Fairview Southdale Hospital on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (I plan to start going to these on a regular basis).  And registering here on OH is super helpful too so you can ask any questions you may have & read about others experiences.

Keep me posted on your how your visit goes on Tuesday.
