OUCH! I shut my drain tube in a drawer I was closing!
Yeah, just say no to that! Oh did that hurt!
Really tired and sore today, but just got home yesterday, so I did a lot more. Did I mention that it was heaven to be in our own bed! I was up every 2 hrs to just move, get meds or go potty, but it was so wonderful!
I almost feel like I have the post sugical gas bubble now on day 6, not sure if that's even possible. Still having bleeding episodes but it is no where near where it was before and it's old blood. So just trying to power through the bad periods and be thankful for the comfortable moments. Kids having a bit of a hard time staying at arms length but it's only a matter of time.
I feel very motivated and only had a few "what have I done" and "holy ****" moments when I felt like the bleeding was going to kill me. Other wise I am very good to go and can't wait to get back into the swimming pool. I swear I feel better already!
Thank you so kindly for all of the shout outs and support. Kevin would read them to me as I lay in bed at the hospital. It really helped. Got to take a quick snooze now and keep the fuzz from my head.
Want to try and make it to coffee next saturday. Maybe Maple Grove?
Have a great weekend, so glad to be on this side finally. What great company I'm keeping!

Wow! You are doing so great. Take it slow... sipping and walking. And the ups and downs, even at night, seem to be totally normal. Hang in there - it's so worth it!!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Ouch!!
It's good to know you're home & recovering now. The comfortable moments will come more frequently as the bad periods start to fade. It's so nice to be home & in your own bed...hopefully that'll help you to recover more quickly.
I hope you're able to make it a 'south of the river' coffee meetup sometime with Kevin so we can meet you.
Keep resting as needed & before you know it this time (right after surgery) will be distant memory & you'll be on to feeling wonderful & back up running around everywhere.
