Unfold that treadmill already

or clear the clutter off whatever exercise machine(s) you have at home and start using them!

After months of my treadmill being folded up, I took it down this morning and got on for 10 minutes.  I'll get on for another 10 later today.  We let Lauren walk on it for a few minutes after I was done.  She did really well staying away from it while I was on.  I've been using her as my excuse not to exercise because I was afraid she'd touch it and I wouldn't be quick enough not to smash her little hand.  Guess she's smarter than I gave her credit for, and more obedient apparently.  She's 2, and I keep thinking she's only as smart as my dogs. I know she's smarter, but after having dogs for 8 years prior to her, I got used to how smart or not they are.

Since I'm almost at my weight goal, I think I'm going to make exercise my focus and work at getting stronger.  I only went 10 minutes this morning, but at a 10 incline and just a speed of 2.5.  I'm a little embarrassed to say it's been at least 3 months since I've exercised AT ALL.  I'll add more time slowly, but want to keep the incline really high to hopefully strengthen my legs.  Also plan to do some arm exercises with weights at home too.

My excerise goal for 2010 is to get back to the gym at least 3-4xs a week. In the meantime to talk my husband into buying me a piece of workout device to use at home so I don't feel gulity being away from the family for so long during the day. Between work and the gym I feel like I'm not home enough!!

Thanks for the thread!! Headed for my first workout of 2010 tomorrow....
God Bless, Angela

I definately think having at something home is a big help, especially when you feel like you can't be away from home. I could never do a gym at Lauren's age and with our schedules.  Have a great 1st workout tomorrow!

Hi Kristy...

Well like a month ago I was gung ho on starting P90x... then I realized I needed some weights and a giant resistance band you put in your door jam for it. Anyway, being the broke $$ person that I am, I haven't gone and purchased either...  and that was my giant excuse for falling off the exercise wagon.. that I didn't have the equiptment.

Now a friend of mine at work gave me some free weights she wasn't using and I still haven't gotten the resistance band, but I'm doing the work out videos anyway and just not doing the pull up component. My birthday is this month and I've asked for a Target gift card so I can purchase that there.

So I'm getting myself back on the wagon too... It's a struggle some days to even get my interest level up there to do it, but I know I need to now that I'm closer to goal than ever and I need to work at gaining muscle now to burn fat more efficiently... and I just can't afford a gym.

Got my gym bag all packed - complete with my new size 16 swim suit for the jacuzzi afterwards!

I've not fallen off the exercise wagon yet - and it's been a solid year!  I'm seeing more definition and loving it!

Kristy - can't believe you are at goal!  AMAZING - congratulations!!!!

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!
