Could Someone Please Just Cut the Christmas Crap?!!

Yesterday there were very few people in the office.  Most of the rest of them came back in today and I think they all brought their $#@!%&! leftover Christmas goodies with them.  There are goodies everywhere, bags and trays full of them....in the break room, in the copier room, at people's desks......aaaaargh! I am glad that I brought in my lunch and a couple of healthy snack items, otherwise I might have succumbed to their tasty charms.  In years past I would have been delighted with all these treats...until sometime in January when I realized that I needed to buy bigger pants again.

I am in a better state of mind today than I was yesterday, so I am glad that all this Christmas crap didn't show up until today.  Sometimes I hate that we live in the land of indulgence.

I am ending the year with a bout of diverticulitis, so I am on clear liquids until it clears up. Believe me when I say, "The pain makes it EASY to avoid all the post-holiday treats showing up at the office!"

Glad to hear you are avoiding the trappings and are having a better day than yesterday.

I confess - I am one of the "offenders" in my office!  I brought all the leftover goodies from my house so other people will eat them instead of me!  I just can't bear throwing them away, but maybe it  would be better for me to do that so I'm not tempting others.  Good job staying away from temptation!

Me toooooo, the extra calories are everywhere.  I know they are there and make the time to bring my own protein snacks to have available.  This to shall pass, until the next major food holiday.  I am guilty of the temptation myself.  Sending extra things I don't want to have around the house to work with my husband.  Shaking my head in shame.  Guilty.....

I threw them out in the garbage today.  I have found I can't have that kind of stuff around right now.

Arrgg... always a battle.

Great post RP! Reminds us all how in a month from now, all those evil treat consumers will be complaining of their tight pants!

Great reminder to us all that we need to pick healthier options.. that can taste just as yummy...
