Quick update
I had my surgery on December 18th and all went very well. I came on the following Sunday with a cough. It only got worse. On Tuesday I called the clinic and told them about the cough and the fact that I wasn't getting enough liquid in. Due to the phlegm I was encourage to try and get at least 48oz in. I called back on Wedesday begging for something take to supress the cough. I was coughing so hard well lets say I was ready to go and buy depends. I was told Dayquill or Tylenol cold would fine to take. Neither touched the cough at all. But I was finally able to get in a good amount of liquid.
Christmas day came, I did ok, even got to have cream of chicken soup for dinner. After everyone left (10pm) I had a violent coughing attack. I nearly passed out, almost threw up, and at one point became no responise, I heard my husband yelling my name and snapped out of it.
Saturday I called the on call doctor and after explaining everthing to him he ordered me a Z Pack. So I hope that this will finally clear this horrible cough up.
I really think that if I didn't have the cough I would be doing just great!
