T minus 2, Surgery is Monday!

I am happy to report the antibiotics are working and I should be able to squeak by for surgery.

Hope the snow stops as I am at least 30 miles from the hospital and my MIL has to drive in from out state to sit with the kids while I'm gone.

I'm nervous and excited and anxious.  Part of me feels like I'm going on parole and with good behavior after surgery I will finally achieve freedom.  Does that make sense.  I'm so ready not to be this person anymore.  I'm like the old woman with the sharp mind trapped in an old frail body that can't do what her mind wants her to do.  I want to have energy and joints that don't ache.  I want to not worry every day about another heart attack.  I want to keep up with my kids. I want what this can offer me if I do it correctly.  I just have to keep trying.

So, remember me in your thoughts on Monday please.  I'll show Kevin how it is supposed to have been done   I'm sure after 2 c-sections etc, they know my guts are where they are supposed to be.

Anyway, I'm tired of waiting................... I'm just ready to do this thing!

Thanks for listening!

Tess

Tess, I want to wish you the best of luck with your surgery on Monday!  I hope your surgery is uneventful, you have a quick recovery, & no rearranged anatomy like your brother Kevin!!

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts on Monday & look forward to hearing everything went well.  I'm scootin' over to make room for you on the losers bench!!!

p.s.
I hope, once you recover, I get to meet you at a Saturday morning coffee meet-up.  It's been wonderful getting to know your brother & look forward to meeting you one day as well!
