TGIF!!!
Okay, I just can't help myself, I'm GLAD it's Friday! Work has been crazy - CHAOTIC! - for the past several weeks. I LOVE my job, LOVE being busy... even tho there are a few folks I have to deal with in a professional manner that I would much rather SPANK (and no, I do NOT mean that in a FUN way... )
The thing I've noticed this week especially is that - being over two and a half years out, I'm handling "chaotic" WAY differently than I used to! Of course, I USED to EAT my stress - or eat through it, anyway. Nowadays, I'm more inclined to clench my teeth, which can cause a DOOZY of a headache if I don't catch myself, but at least it's much less detrimental to my body and my health than scarfing down a can of Pringles! (@ 27 at a time, no less..!)
I can't get over how FANTASTIC this new "normal" feels! Am I perfect? Hell no! Have I popped a few Christmas cookies in my face over the past week? YUP! Did I dump? NOPE! Did I eat one after another until I realized my family would notice a sharp drop in the number of cookies in the jar? NOPE! I'd eat ONE. Enjoy the dickens out of it. And low and behold, my scale hasn't spanked me - in fact, I've dropped a few! WTH?? (DISCLAIMER: I am NOT advocating Christmas cookies as a proper method of weight loss.)
So I'm rambling a bit. I'm just so glad it's FRIDAY!!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
You are SO funny! And I am glad it's Friday, too! Today another person noticed I'm losing weight - well ALL RIGHTY THEN!!! That's enough to keep my paws out of the sweets. I have to ignore them, because they are everywhere. This is my biggest opportunity to lose - my window, as they say.
Handling stress is important, and there are many ways to do it... most of them not involving feeding my face! thanks for the reminder.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Guilty of enjoying a cookie or two at the breakroom. Someone sent us a fruit basket. Tried my first orange since surgery. Hit the spot for a little something juicy and sweet. Nice to be able to have one cookie here and there and then not have the whole jar at home. I will make a small batch of sugar cookies for my hubby after he finishes the banana bread I made the other day. Had a bite of that too, just a nibble of his slice. In the past, I would have had a good portion of the loaf while it was still warm. The bite from his slice every couple of days works for me. Yeah RNY. Nope I didn't dump from the cookies I ate during the night shift. I brought along some turkey chili with shredded cheese to eat during my work shift. More satisfying than the cookie was.
I too am TGIF, weekend off. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

Yes Darla, the Sawmill is on the otherside of town from me. You got the right area. Can't say that I've eaten there. Work night shift and sleep during the evening hours. Since surgery haven't really wanted to eat out much, small appetite ya know.
