So what happens now?
I'm almost at my 2 year surgervesary, have lost all the weight, had the plastic surgery to put things back where they belonged, and am happier and healthier than I have ever been. So my question is NOW WHAT?
I've never been in this situation, I feel kinda lost. Weight has always been an issue, it was my identity. Hard to express how I feel, very weird. ACKKK!

Alana:
My weight both limited and defined me in a lot of different ways. I hadn't ever really accepted myself, fat or thin, until I worked on doing so this year. That process of discovery led me to insights about who I am and what I need in tems of work and relationships. I have set about changing those things to better fit who I am rather than living my life according to other people's expectations of me. I don't know where this effort will lead, but just recognizing what I need for me makes me feel better about myself, if that makes sense. Now that you are in better health, you might also explore more of your interests and ideas. The only limitations are your creativity and your budget. Good luck!

I'm thinking - CHALLENGE YOURSELF! Put yourself in some situations that you would never have considered in your former body!
If you were afraid to swim because of how you looked or felt in a swimsuit, GO SWIMMING!
If you never wore dresses by anyone but Omar the Tentmaker, buy yourself something that fits your body well and GO OUT!!
If you love horses but were afraid to hurt one, GO RIDING!
If you always wanted to try ice skating but thought you'd crack the pond if you fell, LACE UP SOME SKATES AND GIVE IT A WHIRL!
The bottom line - ENJOY your new body and the limits you are no longer bound by!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
It could be a good time to do some introspection. Buy a self-help book on body image, or seek counseling, Alana. You've done the work, and it's time to enjoy life in your healthy new body! Congratulations.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
