Why did I do that??!!

At work today they had our Christmas party, however I did not go because I knew there would be too many things that I did not need. After the party, they brought all the left-over food & snacks to the unit break room. Well, what did I do? I grabbed some cookies, trail mix and other treats and put them in my locker. Afterwords I thought, why did I do that? I don;t need any of it and it is all sugary junk. My mind still screams "grab that yummy junk food and eat it!"

When will I ever learn? At least I ate only 1 cookie and ended up PBing most of it back up....that's what I get!

There is no answer to the "why" we do some of the things we do.  I like that you ask yourself the question.  Sometimes I make a good decision (like not going where I will be tempted) and then later justify a bad decision because I feel deprived.  It is sometimes worthwhile for me to enjoy a social occasion and just make the best choices I can in order to not feel I missed out!   Does that fit at all?

Best of luck - you will learn, and you are learning now!

Some days I do so good and then other days I wonder what is going on in my brain! I guess after years of eating "bad" food in bad proportions is hard to lick. Part of my brain still says, "but it tastes so good..." I need my band to have a voice & start responding to my brain!!  LOL

You did good with one cookie....even though you got sick. I hope you threw the rest away!!

Good lesson learned....the hard way!

I brought the rest home for my daughter. I started to take a bite of one and got mad & threw it back in the bag. My daughter was like, "you don't have to get mad at the cookie!" That is true, but I shouldn't of had the darn things! I'm sure I will have other hard lessons to learn the hard way, otherwise I wouldn't be here now!
