christmas cookies
This year, it's not about eating them - it's about sharing that fun holiday "tradition" with my kids - rolling the sugar cookies, cutting and baking, and especially decorating! It worked out pretty cool so far this year - Trav and I cut and baked a batch Monday night, then last night Bailey and I sat at the table and decorated them all! I did eat ONE, but that was enough!
(I posted a pic in FB if you want to see them

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Hi Marsha!
I actually baked SEVEN Dozen Christmas treats yesterday for our neighborhood cookie exchange and even tho I'm a month out from surgery, and have been pretty adventurous with my eating (minus pasta and sugar), I DID NOT EAT A SINGLE COOKIE OR BAR!
What kept me from sneaking even a taste? It was 2 things... 1) thinking of what got me to the point of needing surgery in the first place (I could have easily put away a dozen cookies in a matter of minutes before!) 2) and looking at far I've coming in just a month.
Focus on your joy after seeing the scale move down again! You can resist! BE STRONG and instead snack on something you know is good for you.
Hope that helps... just the thoughts of a relative newbie.
Holiday wishes!
Shannon
I can also add dreaded fear of "dumping" - - haven't done it yet!!!
