Alright peeps... this must be some kind of a cruel joke. It's not even snowing and it'****ting the 30s... and I am FREEZING to death. Not like, "Golly gee I need to get inside" cold... but "I have icicles forming on my bones" cold.

I always prided myself on not wearing a coat even ONCE during some winters... now I'm out looking for a goose down coat and wondering how many layers it is humanly possible to wear without looking like the Michelin man.

What gives? I mean... I  have skiing and playing in the snow to look forward to... so how am I supposed to survive this bone chillin' cold? It's RIDICULOUS.

Am I going to have to be one of those people that moves south just to survive? I still got 20lbs to lose... what will happen then?!!

Iowa is south of you, but I don't think our winters are much different.  I hate the cold too.  If my kids would move south, I would follow.  Probably take my DH along too.  LOL

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I too get chilled easily, what gives, still have plenty of fat insulation on my bod yet.  I heard that this was coming, just didn't believe it until it happened.  Last winter, wore short sleeved t-shirts all winter long, sweated at the drop of a hat.  Hot flashes, yeeehaaaaa.  Now after surgery, I love my long sleeves here in northern MN.  The sweating has all but disappeared, unless I am working out hard.  Oh yes, with the weight loss, that time of the month has started again, been at least 2 years since mother nature visited.  Ughhhhh.

Love the puppy photo, I have one that too wants to levitate in the winter.  Ever see a female dog urinate with her back end elevated (yes, pee mid air)  She has done that since she was a pup, now age 7.  It is a hoot to watch.

Before surgery I froze all the time...in the middle of summer I wear sweatshirts all the time so the day of surgery I asked Dr Johnson to find that nerve and sever it because I was tired of being so dang cold!!!!  He just smiled and said if he could he would and asked me if I heard that most people were colder after surgery....  You kinda have to know him because he is fairly serious.  I have not been quite as cold and that is for now I'm sure.  We also heat with wood so I get to have my house at any temp I want (usually I have it 80 degrees in here!) and I still wear a shirt with a sweatshirt and sweat pants!!

I'm pretty sure when you are skiing you will be toasty!!

I'm just starting to feel this coldness that everyone talks about.  My feet, hands & nose are always freezing cold.  This is so strange for me since I was always hot & sweating.  I always had to wear a t-shirt (even during the winter) and I'd still be sweating.  So, as of now I'm enjoying being cold, but I can see how as it gets colder & I get colder it's probably gonna be tough to deal with.  Lots of sweaters & bundling up once winter gets here.  I don't own any sweaters, so I get to actually buy a new type of clothing!!

I hear ya, Elena.  I was so cold today that I had to run to Savers to get hanging around the house clothes.  I spent $88 and got a bunch of warmer stuff.  Those fleece jackets are lightwight but verrrry toasty.

Stay warm!

Oh my gosh!  I so understand!!  I'm always cold.  Even in the summer, I'm at work with a sweatshirt on and a blanket over my lap.  This time of year I have my heater under my desk going full blast.  We finally got some snow last night up here.  I imagine that this is gonna stay this time.

I can also understand about not wanting to wear a jacket.  I hate them, but I love my sweatshirts.  I just don't like feeling so...what is the word...claustorphobic almost about jackets.

I drink a lot of coffee and tea to keep me warmer from the inside out.  It seems to help, but I swear I get frostbite in the office or at home.  My fingers are icicles from typing on the computer.  LOL!  I usually take several trips to the restroom just to run my hands under the hot tap water to warm them up.

I always complain about being cold, but could never see myself leaving.  Oh well.  I'm stuck here.

I have just recently resumed some very MINOR "glistening" with extreme amounts of activity (like, oh, 4 hours of dancing?).  In the past, one song and I'd have been DRIPPING!

So it does seem to be evening out a bit.  But I went from sleeping on TOP of my covers in the winter, wearing only an over-sized t-shirt, to wearing sweatshirts, long johns and thick fuzzy socks under ALL the covers.  I like being snuggly, but DANG!  A person starts to feel a little trapped in/under all that!  (not to MENTION how SEXY it looks!)

I'm the one weirdo that I don't actually feel cold, but if you touch me, my body is cold. I don't ever notice it until my husband will touch me and tell me I'm freezing.

Please spay and neuter your pets!
