Turkey Day Update

I am up and at em, to excited to sleep (been up since 3)  I am enjoying a nice hot cup of orange spice tea.  Cheryl cut all my hair off last night and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!  My friend Kelley is on her way to do my nails and my brother will be here at 11 to pick me up and go to my grandmas.  Can't wait to see my son..  and really can't wait for him to open his birthday gifts.  I am having a little issue with my gosh darn blood sugars so I am going to make a care pack for myself to bring with filled with juices.Sorry juist had to roll around my unit and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  I love all my nurses.  Hope everone has a great Thanksgiving!!!!!  I for one am going to pig out.  And my unit at regions is getting ready to already start munching, they are a fun group.chew chew  chew today, no stuck Turkey!!!!!

I know how hard it can be to be away from family over the holidays.  I was in the hospital two years in a row over Thanksgiving ('06 and '07), and right thru New Years' in '07...no fun!  I was in rehab after back surgery in '07 and the nurses there were great, too.  PT wasn't always fun, but not getting up would have been worse!

One of my docs told me this as he was there when PT came in one day.  "Do you know the difference between a physical therapist and a terrorist?"  Drum roll....





"You can negotiate with a terrorist."    It was true...they WILL get you up even when you don't want to!
