I am planning to have a Thanksgiving dinner of sorts with my family... I think my mom is planning something. We do a very low-key dinner.

I also went to my roommate's family's Thanksgiving dinner this Saturday... it was good!

We are going to my brother's house.  His wife, my sister-in-law, is more like a sister and I just love her to bits.  I always make the rolls - use the bread machine to the dough stage then form into rolls and they all call them homemade!  LOL   I tried to correct them, but they think I make homemade rolls anyway.  There will be 8 of us, because people are a bit scattered.  My sister and her husband and two boys (18 & 19 years old), Michael and I, and the hosts.  Low key, but fun!  I'm looking forward to my turkey, a little potatoes and gravy, and a teaspoon of dressing.  Then a bite or two of pumpkin pie!  I'm never hungry, so it shouldn't be too hard.

I have so much to be thankful for, and I love to be with my sibs.  Have a good one.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

The ARE homemade, Mary!  'cuz the opposite of home made is store bought, and you didn't buy 'em in a store!!  OWN IT!

Working night shift all week, as usual.  Heading over to my sister in laws for the Thanksgiving meal.  Low key too.  Miss dad this week.  Hopefully he will come up to visit between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  He has plans to go south to see the snow bird relatives for the Christmas holiday.  Got his voicemail when I called him this morning.  Hubby working day shift this week, hoping the meal is late enough that he will be able to join us too.

I agree, thankgoodness, no major house cleaning.  Have a great day everyone and Happy Thanksgiving if I don't catch up with you again before that day.

Since we're not coming home for Thanksgiving my husband wanted to go somewhere, so on Wed after work we're driving to New Orleans for the long weekend. I've never been so it should be a blast!

Please spay and neuter your pets!

I am getting a buddy pass and breaking out of the hospital for the day and going to Grandmas.  It is a special year cause I almost died, we haven't celebrated thanksgiving in 4 years.

We are going to our neighbors sisters house...I KNOW, it sounds weird, but every year since we've lived in MN we have had Thanksgiving with our neighbors, they are a BIG norwegian/italian family and we always have a blast.  Our nighbors moved this summer so we are going to the sisters house....seems like we are now offically part of their family!

I'm not making anything, I'm buying a pumpkin cheesecake from Costco...but usually we do a bit of a deconstructed Thanksgiving, my DH makes a mean pumpkin creme brulee!

Since I will only be 1 week post-op on Thanksgiving I won't be eating any of the delightful food this year.  Both me & my hubby have small families (we're both only children) so Thanksgiving will be celebrated at my house (so I can chill in my super comfy reclining chair) with my parents, my 2 girls & my hubby.  I'll be hanging out & visiting while I eat my full liquid diet.  Thankfully I'm not really hungry since surgery so I look forward to just hanging out & chatting without thinking about all the food I'll be gorging on like I've done in all the past years!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
