Dr. Thao - Plastic Surgery Consult
Had my third plastic surgery consult yesterday with Dr. Thao in Oakdale. Anyone else use him?
Consult went really well. I felt that he was very honest with me. There were numerous procedures I went in to talk to Dr. Thao about and he was willing to talk to me about all of them. One thing I liked about him, was that he busted out his markers and drew (all over my body) what he would do, how much skin he would remove etc etc etc. I can say it really helped me get a visual of what all would be involved. He broke it all down from me, telling me what areas could be done together and which shouldn't be and what he would suggest I do.
The major thing I liked was that he was really willing to go to bat as far as submitting for insurance. I had talked to him about a breast lift, which he said we should submit it to insurance as a reduction, which is more of what I need. I hadn't really thought about it, because I didn't think insurance would pay for it, but he said he would submit and if they deny he will appeal. He will write letters, get info from my primary etc. He just really seemed like he was willing to at least try.
Even when we started talking about a tummy tuck, he was telling me he would submit for the panni and at least get insurance to pay for that.
The main thing I liked about him was that he was willing to work with insurance, I have dealt with many that instantly say the will not submit to insurance. I left all marked up, but it was ok because I came home and could show my husband everything so that was good.
Their computer was down so I couldn't get my quote, but I should be getting it in the mail next week. I went into to talk to him about my arms, boobs, and stomach and I got great info on all.
Don't get me wrong, I liked him, but I still have two more consults. So far I have gotten different info from all of them so we will see what happens.

~~~130 POUNDS LOST AND GONE FOREVER~~~
Hi,
My mother had Dr Thao for a procedure on her butt related to being an invalid in a wheel chair. The ulcer was about 2 1/2 inches deep. If you could have seen it before and after, his work was amazing.! After it healed you couldn't even tell where it had been. When I get ready for plastics I will for sure consult with him. He is awesome!
Have a good day!
Dorothy
