About the hair thing
I used Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and took Biotin, which you can find at Wal Mart and Target in the vitamin section . Be sure to eat lots of protein and a well balanced diet. The combination of stuff seemed to work or at leas at it eased my mind that I was doing everything I could to slow it down. I still lost a lot of hair but I kept thing that I was getting healthy and that it is not something like radiation that is causing it.
When my hair came back, it was curly, healthy and lots of it. I have naturally curly hair but now it's like a corkscrew and it looks better than it has in years.

I have been using the Nioxin shampoo.. not the whole set. I have found it to topically make my hair appear thicker, but not slow it down. I have not taken biotin. I read online to increase multi vitamin to help with hairloss so I am trying that.
I have heard some say they tried everything and could not stop/slow down hairloss, and others just took one add'l supplement and it helped.. i think it has to do with diet and lifestyle and making sure you're good about supps before/during/after surgery... Mine has thinned out but no experiences of clumps falling out or anything... I know some have reported that. I wear mine in a pixie haircut, but i have for a long time. Some cut their hair short while it sheds to help in maintenence as well..
Happy surgery!
