Home from surgery...
Hi All,
I was able to come home last night and have pretty much been in bed except for the walk walk walk part after I sip sip sip. I was in SO much pain coming out of surgery, but the IV stuff helped a lot. Dr. Johnson said the extra 10 lbs. I dropped before surgery really made it easy to lift my liver, take my gallbladder, etc.
Now that I'm home, my darling hubby is keeping the little ones from crawling all over me, but they do ask to keep looking at my tummy owies (they are 5, 4 and 2).
The sensation while taking my sips is odd with the little upward bubbles, but I am doing well at getting my liquids in. Not hungry at all, thankfully! Everyone at Unity was wonderful, and thanks to those who posted and emailed me!
I have a some tummy pain still and a little headache and will likely sleep in the guest room again so hubby can wrangle any little ones who typically end up in our bed. With lots of pillows I've been able to semi-sleep on my side. I have 6 tummy owies and no bruising except for where my IV's were. I'm peeing fine, a little urpy, but no gas down below yet. I do feel a little bloated.
I go in for a follow up next Friday, and will probably do my first real home weigh in on Wednesday.
Thanks again to you ALL. I'm so very happy to finally be on the bench and continue this experience with you! Wish I could make it to MG Coffee tomorrow, but I'm not quite there yet!
HUGS to all,
Shannon

Congrats Shannon. Welcome to the losing side of surgery. Sounds like you have a good plan for the day. Take care as you sip, walk, sip, walk, sip, rest.

Shannon,
So glad to hear you are doing fine. I had the gurgle thing when I swallowed in the beginning too. Pretty much not anymore. I do not feel hunger either. My head is next for surgery!!! It thinks I'm hungry!! In a few days you'll be over the bloated feeling or at least I was. I hope to see you at coffee one day. Also let me know if you need to ask questions...I'll be here.

All right! You are on your way and sounds like all is normal. Hope it continues to amaze you, like it has me. I love the lack of hunger.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
